The interior of the Highrider is very premium and spacious. With ample seating space for five people, this SUV makes long journeys easy. Performance and hybrid power
The Toyota Highrider is powered by a petrol-electric hybrid engine, which combines a 1490cc petrol engine and an electric motor. This engine produces 91bhp and 122Nm of torque, while the electric motor produces 79bhp and 141Nm of torque. The driving experience is very smooth with the help of e-CVT transmission. This SUV runs well both in the city and on the highway and gives a mileage of up to 27.97 kmpl according to ARAI.
Toyota Hyryder: Variants and Price
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider is available in 18 variants, priced starting from ₹ 11.34 lakh to ₹ 20.19 lakh (ex-showroom). It has petrol, CNG and hybrid options, as well as manual and automatic transmission options. The AWD variant now comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. Recently the company has also launched its limited edition which includes some cosmetic changes and accessories.
Mileage and efficiency
While the hybrid model gives a mileage of 27.97 kmpl, the petrol manual and automatic variants give an average of 21.11 kmpl and 20.12 kmpl respectively. The CNG variant gives an efficiency of 26.6 km/kg. In the real world, the Highrider has given a great performance of 17.7 kmpl in the city and 27.38 kmpl on the highway.
Toyota Hyryder: Safety is also at the forefront
Toyota has left no stone unturned on the safety front as well. It has six airbags as standard in all variants. Along with this, important safety features like disc brakes on all four wheels, ABS, EBD, electronic stability control, 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, hill hold control and ISOFIX mounts have been provided. However, advanced driver assistance technology like ADAS is not yet available in it and it has also not received NCAP safety rating.
